Lecherous Gaze rocks deep and dirty with “Night’s Edge”
Lecherous Gaze guitarist Graham Clise has been busy lately in Witch, a stoner-metal outfit that counts Dinosaur Jr.’s mastermind J Mascis on drums. But Clise has found time to conjure forth a second album by his main band, Lecherous Gaze. Be thankful he did. Zeta Reticuli Blues—as heard on the stomping, sinister, standout track “Night’s Edge,” which is being debuted here—hones the greasy, riff-forward retro-rock first heard on the band’s 2012 debut, On The Skids. It’s mean and greasy, sure, but Clise’s knack for classic songcraft pokes through the grime.
Zeta Reticuli Blues will be released June 17 via Tee Pee Records.
