Leonard Cohen plans to release his first new studio album since 2004 next year
After several years of touring to shore up his finances, Leonard Cohen apparently has recorded his first new album of original material since 2004's Dear Heather, and he's planning to release it next year. The record is called Old Ideas, and it will include 10 new tracks. "I've played it for a few people, and they seem to like it," said the 77-year-old Cohen during a press conference held in Spain, where he was accepting a literary award. Cohen was hopeful about touring in support of the record, though he admitted that "I never quite know whether there's going to be a tour or not." [via Reuters]
