In the grand tradition of the Vacation movies, the role of Audrey Griswold has once again been recast in the upcoming reboot that, much like a family vacation, nobody is really all that excited about. Leslie Mann will take on the role of Audrey 5.0 alongside Ed Helms; Helms stars as an adult Rusty Griswold, who takes his kids—whose names don’t really matter that much because they’ll just get recast next time anyway—to Wally World, in a poetic expression of the circular nature of domestic misery. Charlie Day, Christina Applegate, and Chris Hemsworth will also be there— “why” isn’t really important, because why are any of us here, but for one brief movie, when the only real constants in this world are death, disappointment, and apparently Chevy Chase?
