Let’s imagine Joe Biden being a merry asshole about leaving the White House
Last week, Donald Trump took his inaugural tour of the White House looking like a kid whose mom dragged him on one too many errands. The notion of him walking those hallowed halls still feels profane, somehow unreal.
Fortunately, we have the internet’s version of Joe Biden to keep us sane. While his freewheeling gregariousness has been a source of joy for the entire Obama presidency, the past week has provided, if literally nothing else, a perfect outlet for one last round of great Biden jokes. As always, Obama is the affectionate but exasperated straight man, and Biden the excitable ne’er-do-well. Now, however, Biden has a focal point for his boyish joie de vivre: loading the White House up with pranks and subliminal Trump disses. Take it away, Twitter:
Photographer and ardent Biden fan Josh Billinson has proven to be one of the most capable manipulators of the format.
Since most of this occurred on Twitter, part of the joke eventually became Biden and Obama conversing in Twitter-speak.
Biden’s been an incredibly versatile character these past eight years—essentially the wildest, raddest dude around, no matter what the scene is. Here he is as patron saint of Golden Age hip-hop:
The internet has its work cut out for it trying to wring comedy out of Mike Pence.
