Let's all see if we like Steven Universe

Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Monday, November 11. All times are Eastern.

TOP PICK
Steven Universe (Cartoon Network, 8 p.m.): Adventure Time is taking a break tonight, so we’re dropping in on Cartoon Network’s latest, helmed by Rebecca Sugar. It premiered last week, and Erik Adams gave it an optimistic grade. Now Oliver Sava is checking out its third and fourth episodes, “Cheeseburger Backpack” and “Together Breakfast.” Do you like it? Do you want to see us review it weekly? Then stop by and say hello! Oliver will be sad if you don't.

REGULAR COVERAGE
Regular Show (Cartoon Network, 7:30 p.m.): Rigby takes on a bet with a guy over basketball bank shots. Until about five minutes ago we thought this episode had something to do with robbing a bank. Alasdair Wilkins is shaking his head at us, sadly and slowly.

How I Met Your Mother (CBS, 8 p.m.): Tonight’s episode features flashbacks to the love triangle between Ted, Robin, and Barney, which is always a recipe for sitcom success. Donna Bowman is shaking her head at us, sadly and slowly.

Sleepy Hollow (Fox, 9 p.m.): Ichabbie is sweeping the nation. What’s Ichabbie, you say? Why, it’s the monstrous hybrid of forms that is Ichabod and Abbie, merged together, as one flesh, under the full moon, without God’s tender mercy blessing the union. Zack Handlen is shaking his head at us, sadly and slowly.

Mom (CBS, 9:30 p.m.): Christy’s going on a romantic weekend getaway with Adam, and strawberry lube is involved somehow. We have a good guess as to how it’s involved, but we don’t want to make too many assumptions. Christy is a woman of great virtue! Todd VanDerWerff is shaking his head at us, sadly and slowly.

The Blacklist (NBC, 10 p.m.): Liz uncovers a plot to destroy America’s financial system! Ha ha! Like, more destroyed than it is already? Get it? Like, #recession joke?! Phil Dyess-Nugent is shaking his head at us, sadly and slowly.

Hostages (CBS, 10 p.m.): Ellen has to decide whether or not she will save the life of her tormentor, Duncan Carlisle. We have a strong suspicion that she will save his life because he is Dylan McDermott, but we can’t be totally sure. Sonia Saraiya is shaking her head, sadly and slowly, but not at us, for once.

WHAT ELSE IS ON?
Love It Or List It (HGTV, 9 p.m.): A woman tries to get her husband to sell the terrible house he bought when she was out of town. Fireworks ensue.

MAD (Cartoon Network, 8:30 p.m.): This animated sketch comedy celebrates its 100th episode tonight. There are jokes about Superman, One Direction, and Sanjay And Craig, which, important.

La Reina Del Sur (Telemundo, 9 p.m.): This Spanish-language telenovela follows the rise of a young Mexican woman named Teresa Mendoza who becomes the most powerful drug trafficker of southern Spain. Based on the novel of the same name by Arturo Pérez-Reverte, which we have always meant to read.

Diners, Drive-Ins, And Dives (Food Network, marathon): Many repeats and one new episode at 10 p.m., in which Guy Fieri, American hero, sniffs out the best food in New York City.

Duck Dynasty (Lifetime, marathon): The ducks continue their dynasty unopposed—for now.

JFK (Reelz, 8 p.m.): Oliver Stone’s famous and controversial film about a New Orleans DA investigating the president’s assassination, playing on Reelz to coincide with the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy’s death. Kevin Costner stars, for some reason.

A Few Good Men (Sundance, 7 p.m.): You want the truth? You can’t handle the truth. Which is that Aaron Sorkin wrote this movie, and also, it’s a military movie, just in time for Veterans’ Day.

Monday Night Football: Dolphins At Buccaneers (ESPN, 8:25 p.m.): You know, we would like to see a movie where pirates tried to storm the open seas, and then all of the pods of all the dolphins in the world rose out of the sea en masse in a roiling display of grace and power and ate all the pirates and restored harmony to the ocean because we have to save the oceans, guys.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Masters Of Sex (Sunday): This show had a lot of problems for a while, but things are looking up. Last night’s episode gets to the sexy, complicated core of the relationship between Masters and Johnson. Sonia Saraiya takes us to a land where wires are attached to you while you orgasm.
