LeVar Burton is an accomplished actor and supporter of literature, best known for his work in Roots and Star Trek: The Next Generation, and for inspiring generations of kids to read as the host of Reading Rainbow. He also hosts a podcast titled LeVar Burton Reads, where he hand-picks a different piece of short fiction, and reads it. In the video above, Burton talks about why he felt the timing was right to start a podcast.
