Lifetime cancels The Witches Of East End

TV’s witch trend has claimed its first casualty as The Hollywood Reporter breaks the news that Lifetime has canceled The Witches Of East End. The basic cable network’s answer to Charmed just finished its second season, which saw a significant drop in viewership from an average of 3 million to 1 million viewers per episode. This is sad news for fans of Madchen Amick, who played free-spirited Aunt Wendy on the show, and her co-stars Julia Ormond, Rachel Boston, and Jenna Dewan Tatum. It’s also sad news for fans of perfectly tousled hair, bad CGI, Asgard, sisters doin’ it for themselves, and acoustic Nirvana covers, although Lifetime is sure to find another outlet for all that soon enough (maybe not the Asgard part, but you know).
