TV Line reports that Lifetime has ordered a miniseries about the life and times of Marilyn Monroe. Titled Marilyn, Lifetime’s project will be based on J. Randy Taraborrelli’s The Secret Life Of Marilyn Monroe.
Taraborrelli is a celebrity biographer who describes himself as “the foremost authority on Michael Jackson;” his book on Monroe is described by the publisher as “explosive, revelatory, and surprisingly moving.” Stephen Kronish will adapt the material for TV. Kronish wrote all eight episodes of Reelz’s The Kennedys, starring Katie Holmes and Greg Kinnear.
