Like Godzilla? Got eight minutes? Watch his 2014 highlight reel.

When it comes to memorable movie performances, sometimes quality trumps quantity. Anthony Hopkins, for instance, has but 16 minutes of screen time in The Silence Of The Lambs. Margaret Hamilton is only on camera for 12 minutes in The Wizard Of Oz. And yet both will live in the stubbornly repressed nightmares of viewers for decades. Does the same theory hold true for giant Japanese monsters? In the 2014 movie somewhat misleadingly named for him, Godzilla appears for a mere eight minutes, a tiny sliver of the film’s 123-minute running time. And now, thanks to diligent YouTuber John Nemesis, viewers can watch all eight of those destruction-filled minutes in one kaiju-sized hunk. Now, viewers who complained that “there wasn’t enough Godzilla in Godzilla” can finally get their giant monster fix without having to wait through all that potentially boring plot and character stuff. For some viewers, this may be the answer to a prayer. For others, this montage may seem like weirdly specific pornography for individuals with an “enormous lizards + demolition” fetish.
