And assuming this retirement actually goes ahead as planned, don't expect it to last. It's pretty unimaginable that a man who went to jail and used his one phone call to record a guest verse will stay away from the studio for too long. Anyway, Tha Carter 5 doesn't have a release date, but 2014 is as good a guess as any.
