Li'l Wayne's Rebirth doesn't bomb quite as spectacularly as expected

Despite universally damning, often cruelly mocking reviews, bad buzz, months of delays and the fact that it's just god fucking awful and should never be listened to by anyone, ever, Li'l Wayne's Rebirth rock album performed respectably in its first week, selling 176,000 copies. Analysts who predict such things predicted sales more in the 150,000 range. As Wayne is one of the only rappers who still consistently goes platinum those numbers are nothing to write home about, but it's still a very minor victory for the eccentric codeine enthusiast/aspiring guitar player.
