Lin-Manuel Miranda will reprise his role as Hamilton for one night only

Lin-Manuel Miranda has for the most part moved on from Hamilton as a performer, but he announced on Twitter that he’ll make a special appearance in the Chicago production for a specific audience member. Miranda said he’ll once again assume the title role in his award-winning musical when Oscar López Rivera—whose prison sentence was commuted by President Barack Obama yesterday—comes to see the show.

Rivera was a member of the group FALN—Fuerzas Armadas de Liberación Nacional—which sought Puerto Rican independence and acted through bombings in the 1970s and ’80s. As the New York Times reported, he was serving a 70-year sentence on charges including seditious conspiracy. Miranda had been advocating for the 74-year-old’s release, which will come May 17, on Twitter.

It’s unclear when Miranda’s performance for Rivera will take place.
