Linda Hamilton is ready to fuck up some robots in the first teaser image for Terminator 6
Earlier this week, we were somewhat surprised to hear from Arnold Schwarzenegger that Terminator 6—or whatever Tim Miller’s big reboot will be called—had already begun filming. Today, Paramount shared a more official Terminator tease, tweeting a photo of the film’s three leads (Natalia Reyes, Mackenzie Davis, and Linda Hamilton). We can’t discern a whole lot of plot information from the image beyond the sort of freeway-based action that happens in every Terminator movie, but there’s one important detail that the photo does make very clear: Hamilton’s Sarah Connor is still a major badass.
Look at that shotgun! Look at those aviators! If you’re not willing to follow her into an endless battle against the machines, then you’ve probably been replaced by a Terminator already. The only downside here is that Reyes’ Dani Ramos and Davis’ Grace can’t live up to the awesomeness that is radiating off of Sarah Connor, which is a shame because they both look pretty cool as well (carrying a piece of rebar is always a strong aesthetic). There’s no sign of Gabriel Luna’s new Terminator, but he’s gonna need one hell of a leather jacket to look like a worthwhile opponent for these three.
