Lindsay Lohan demonstrates her newfound sobriety by getting a Billy Joel tattoo
Embodying the same spirit of rock ’n’ roll rebellion in which they were first written, Lindsay Lohan’s newest tattoo is of lyrics from Billy Joel’s “I Go To Extremes,” her fellow Long Island native/notorious drunk driver's anthem about being moody around Christie Brinkley. “Clear as a crystal, sharp as a knife / I feel like I'm in the prime of my life,” it says, a couplet that her representatives say “represented where she is in life and everything she's been through… It signifies that she's focused.” True, it's not an obvious choice like, say, "Only The Good Die Young" or "You May Be Right"—or even "Allentown," where the forced closing of Pennsylvania factories might function as a metaphor for losing the chance to play Linda Lovelace. But most importantly, should anyone doubt that Lindsay Lohan is focused, or find themselves curious about where she currently is in life, they can now simply check her rib cage, where the words of Billy Joel will do the speaking for her, as they have for so many other wealthy white people.
