Lionsgate to open the Booty Parlor on television

Like a wet T-shirt contest rapidly devolving into a strip-off game of one-upmanship, the race for who can bring more sex to television is definitely on. So in a 24 hours that’s already seen MTV bringing Savage Love to life and NBC promising to get down and dirty, Lionsgate Television has decided to grab ankle and present with the announcement of a new multimedia partnership with Booty Parlor, the Los Angeles-based adult boutique specializing in lingerie, “feather spankers,” and a vibrator called The Champ, a title it earned after defeating Miguel Acosta in a three-round bout.

The first project on the docket: A reality series featuring Booty Parlor co-founder Dana Myers acting as an “on-camera sexy lifestyle expert” offering advice on how to achieve the sort of classy, sexy sophistication that has become synonymous with the name Booty Parlor. As part of the deal, Lionsgate has also acquired the TV, DVD, and digital distribution rights to Myers’ new book, The Official Booty Parlor Mojo Makeover: Four Weeks To A Sexier You, presumably with the intention of adapting it should their first venture prove successful. The Parents Television Council is due to release a statement any minute now, as soon as it finishes spluttering half-formed words at the bathroom mirror.
