Listen to all 10 gloomy minutes of Black Sabbath's new single, "God Is Dead?"
Black Sabbath has just finished up recording 13, the first record from the band’s original lineup in 35 years. As such, the first single is now available, and it’s a philosophical doozy. “God Is Dead?” clocks in at almost 10 minutes long and features a plodding intro, pretty classic doom metal riffs, and Ozzy Osbourne’s not-terrible-sounding vocals pondering whether God is alive, dead, damned, or what.
13 was recorded in Los Angeles by producer Rick Rubin, features Rage Against The Machine’s Brad Wilk on drums, and will be out June 11 on Vertigo/Republic.
