Listen to Am I Cool Or What?, a smooth jazz album about Garfield

Back in 1991, times were simpler and novelty media was more above board. Instead of YouTube users making faux-Mentos commercials about their favorite meth-addled shows, real live respected recording artists produced jokey songs about their favorite comic-strip characters. Thus was born Am I Cool Or What?, a smooth jazz album about, of all things, Garfield. Featuring tracks like “Fat Is Where It’s At” by Carl Anderson ( “I love lasagna / And I like pizza too / I scream for ice cream / and I’m always in the mood for candy, it’s dandy / Peanut butter and jelly in the belly is nice”) and The Temptations’ “Shake Your Paw,” the album was actually a success, hitting number 23 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Albums chart. The songs aren’t any good, of course, but they’re smooth jazz about Garfield, so of course they're worth a listen.
