Listen to "Hot Shit," the new single from Texas' Analog Rebellion
Analog Rebellion is straight out of Aledo, Texas, a little town just west of Fort Worth. Formerly known as PlayRadioPlay!, the band is the solo project of Daniel Hunter, a singer-songwriter who makes what he describes as “stadium lo-fi.” It’s especially funny then that his new song was recorded in Berlin, in an abandoned CIA spy tower from the Cold War, a structure that’s pretty much the polar opposite of a booming, football-friendly megaplex. “Hot Shit” comes off the Ill’e Grande LP, due out Feb. 18 on Dabbo Records. It’s raucous, dischordant, and a bit psychedelic, and it’s streaming now exclusively on The A.V. Club.
