If you have been binge-watching Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt since it hit Netflix this past Friday, chances are you’ve had that theme song stuck in your head all weekend. Created by series composer Jeff Richmond and The Gregory Brothers of Songify The News, the theme is an auto-tuned version of the news clip that follows Kimmy and the other mole women’s rescue from the bunker where they’ve been held by a cult leader for 15 years. A local eyewitness named Walter Bankston (Mike Britt) reacts to their rescue, providing the lyrics to the ultra-catchy tune.
Someone on Tumblr has remixed the opening sequence, adding the music heard over the end credits of the first episode to create a longer version of the song. Don’t expect to stop bursting out with random exclamations of “unbreakable!” any time soon.
