Listen to the new single from The Lees Of Memory, featuring members of Superdrag

Fans of Superdrag should find a lot to like in The Lees Of Memory, considering the group features two members of the “Sucked Out” band. John Davis and Brandon Fisher teamed up with four other guys for the Lees, who released their first album, Sisyphus Says, in 2014. The band’s latest 7-inch is out July 28 on Velocity Of Sound, but A.V. Club readers can get a first listen to the b-side of that single, “Let’s Turn Our Love Up Loud.” A slightly gentle ballad, the track is still pretty blunt, with Davis’ lyrics both reflecting a bleak outlook on things and emphasizing the fact that, no matter what, there’s still love in the world.
