Listen to Thom Yorke and Alec Baldwin talk about being famous for the latter's podcast

Though his podcast, Here’s The Thing, is pretty new and only has about 4,000 likes on Facebook, Alec Baldwin is able to draw some pretty good guests to it just by virtue of being Alec frickin’ Baldwin. His latest get is Thom Yorke, who showed up on this week’s episode to talk about computers, music, activism, and being popular. As Pitchfork points out, the show is also full of plenty of choice little nuggets about the Radiohead frontman, as well as his band. For example, Yorke nabbed Ed O’Brien for the band back in the ‘80s because he appreciated how “he was dressed like Morrissey and had some cool socks.”

Anyone not interested in investing 50-odd minutes in the audio can also just read the transcript of the podcast on WNYC’s site.
