Lizzy Caplan may appear in Now You See Me 2
In between mastering sex with Michael Sheen and saving Christmas with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Lizzy Caplan might be learning how to do magic. This comes from Deadline, which reports that Caplan is “in final negotiations” for one of the main roles in Now You See Me 2—which, again, really should be called Now You See Me Too. Caplan would be replacing Isla Fisher as Token Girl after Fisher dropped out of the film due to being pregnant and, presumably, not wanting to expose her child to magic. The first movie is all about Fisher and her magician friends—Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Dave Franco—earning their way into a secret organization that supposedly can use real magic, so it might be tough to explain why one of them has been replaced by a new girl, but that’s not our problem.
Assuming Caplan joins Now You See Me 2—seriously, that cannot be the title—she might be appearing with actual wizard Daniel Radcliffe, who Michael Caine claims is playing his son. So, really, none of this has been officially confirmed yet. Still, we got to make that joke about the name of this movie again, so that was fun.
