LL Cool J to keep hosting the Grammys until they become relevant again
Because the Grammy ladies (and gents) love Cool James, the rapper, actor, and ode-to-big-old-butts composer has been asked to host the awards show for…let’s see, now…the fifth consecutive year. That’s almost as long as NCIS: Los Angeles has been on the air, which is the CBS show that stars LL Cool J, and hey, that’s the network that airs the Grammys! Anyway, The Hollywood Reporter shared the unsurprising news that, rather than consider another rapper who now solves crimes on TV, The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences saw LL Cool J hanging out on a studio lot in between lip sync battles and naval crimes investigations and asked him to keep the night of February 8, 2016 open, presumably, at which point he threw on a newsboy cap and practiced his wooden delivery. The presenters and performers for the 58th Grammy Awards have yet to be announced, but you can probably expect to see Kendrick Lamar, Taylor Swift, Alabama Shakes, and The Weeknd there.
