Load up the hell bus, Hitler, because AMC just renewed Preacher for another season
Good news for fans of foul-mouthed holy men, Gods in dog costumes, and Adolf Hiter, Sandwich Artist: AMC has renewed Preacher for yet another season. Executive produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, and show-run by Sam Caitlin, the series wrapped up its third season back in August, promising plenty more scatological showdowns between Dominic Cooper’s Jesse and his various religious nemeses, and also, again, Adolf Hitler as the newly resurgent king of Hell.
Preacher distinguished itself over the last three years as quite possibly the least-limitation-imposed series on television, taking source material—Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s beloved comic series—that was already pretty out there in terms of violence and big, weird ideas, and pushing it to every possible extreme. The show’s fourth season (like its first and third) will be 10 episodes long, with production shifting down to Australia for its upcoming year.
