Logan will have a post-credits stinger, because Fox knows how this works
Look, 20th Century Fox isn’t new to this superhero cinematic universe thing, okay? It’s well aware you’ve been talking behind its back, after reports from press screenings for Logan came back with the news that there was no post-credits stinger scene attached to the film. “What, is the company some dumb behemoth, lumbering along expecting us to just go see a movie without some fleeting tease for yet another movie at the end of it?”, you doubtless wondered. Wonder no more: There’s going to be a stinger at the end of Logan, because Fox knows how this game is played.
Let the secret post-credits scene speculation begin: Fox just updated LOGAN runtime to 3 minutes longer than version screened this week

Late last week, Alamo Drafthouse Brooklyn marketing and promotions manager Mike Sampson tweeted out the news that Fox had updated Logan to run three minutes longer than the runtime screened for critics. Now, Collider confirms this is because Fox is attaching a stinger scene to the end of the film. (Nodding to its X-Men poster, Fox fires up Dr. Dre’s The Chronic 2001 and fast-forwards to the line, “We started this gangster shit / and this the motherfuckin’ thanks I get?” while staring meaningfully at you.) To be precise, it’s unknown whether it’ll be a mid-credits sequence or a post-credits one, but this is still a superhero movie, even if it’s a somber, R-rated one, so by the laws of modern expanded film universes, we’ll get a little bonus scene. Those are the rules, and Fox isn’t about to break them just because Hugh Jackman is ready to be done with this nonsense.
