Lollapalooza expanding to Israel in 2013
Fresh off a successful—albeit rainy—weekend in Chicago, Lollapalooza will be going even more global in 2013 with the announcement of Lollapalooza Israel. The festival to be held in Tel Aviv next Aug. 20 through 22 is Lolla’s third international iteration, joining other Perry Farrell-approved events in Chile and Brazil. It will take place in Yarkon Park, reportedly “the largest and most popular park in Israel.”
No line-up has been announced—or even hinted at—yet, but the fest is being brought to Tel Aviv by NMC United, a music distributor in Israel, and Plug Productions Generator, a production and promotion company. Lollapalooza will be the first major music festival in Israel.
