A few days ago, we reported that Lorde would be the musical guest on the March 11 episode of Saturday Night Live, and though we’d all love to hear “Royals” again, it seems like she actually has some new stuff in the works instead. According to a Stereogum, a mysterious TV ad recently aired in New Zealand that seemed to tease a bit of new Lorde music and hinted at something happening in New York City on March 2—a.k.a. this Thursday. Stereogum suggests that it could be a surprise new album, but the announcement of a new album or simply the release of a new single seem like safer bets. Either way, you can see the ad below.
