Lucas Till’s Havok will be back for X-Men: Apocalypse
Now that we’ve confirmed new talent for the upcoming X-Men film—people like Olivia Munn, Lana Condor, Kodi Smit-McPhee, and Oscar Isaac—it’s time to bring back the folks who make you think, “Oh, yeah, I guess he was in those X-Men movies, too. Huh.” Variety reports that Lucas Till’s character Havok, a mutant who can absorb and then discharge energy in concentrated form, will be returning for X-Men: Apocalypse.
While Till’s headstrong mutant was one of the core ensemble of young newbies in X-Men: First Class, his appearance in the last film was barely more than a cameo, existing mainly to let us know the U.S. was using mutants as test subjects. (And so we could watch Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique sneak into an army base and kick some serious ass, because the producers of the X-Men films know who pays the bills around here.) No word yet on how large a role Havok will play in the new movie, but presumably it will allow him to once more comically swing his torso around, because that’s what America wants from its mutant heroes.
