Luke Cage gets brutal, gets shit done in the trailer for Marvel's Luke Cage season 2

“Sometimes brutality gets shit done.” That mission statement is spoken by a shirtless Mike Colter in character as Luke Cage, who faces a new threat that might actually be his equal in the second season of his eponymous Netflix series. That threat comes in the form of John McIver (Mustafa Shakir), a.k.a. Bushmaster, a superpowered associate of European crime syndicate the Maggia in the comics who appears to be further aligning himself with occult forces for his TV incarnation.

Marvel’s Luke Cage season two—which has all the style and, from the looks of this trailer, even more swagger than its tortured first season as Luke Cage embraces his celebrity status—debuts on Netflix on June 22.
