Millennials, Gen X-ers, and their grandparents will finally have something to talk about, as Luke Perry joins the cast of a CSI spinoff about the Internet. The upcoming CSI: Cyber, which presumably features a dubstep remix of “Who Are You” as its opening theme, will investigate crimes committed online, like assassins who only accept Dogecoin and “14-year-old girls” who really are not. Perry will play Nick Dalton, a former FBI agent turned fly-by-night futurist who has some history with our heroine, Special Agent Avery Ryan (Patricia Arquette). Perry joins a cast that also includes James Van Der Beek, Community’s “Fat Neil,”and other people who are good at looking very serious while wearing black trench coats and sunglasses, the official uniform of both CSI and the ‘Net.
