M.I.A. releases video for new song “POC That Still A Ryda”

According to Pitchfork, M.I.A. hopped on Periscope this week to talk about immigration, which has been a big topic for her recently due to the problems she’s having with her U.S. visa. She also teased some new music, and now she has released a video for a new song titled “POC That Still A Ryda.” Pitchfork says she calls the track “a mix of all the songs on [her] upcoming LP,” with M.I.A. adding, “had to do a remix to let u know, I been poor, I been rich, I been brown, I been black, I seen white and I been around the world a few times ay ay ay ay. LOVE IS THE ANSWER what the question is i don’t fucking know.”

The song apparently won’t be part of M.I.A.’s upcoming album, which is set to be released this summer and will reportedly be her last one for her American label. You can see the “POC That Still A Ryda” video—which weirdly includes a mouse pointer and a glimpse of somebody’s Apple OS dock—below.
