The media circus surrounding Making a Murderer has died down significantly since the series debuted in December, but the momentum of Steven Avery’s internet heartthrob defense attorneys has not. Jerry Buting and normcore icon Dean Strang in particular have capitalized on their time in the spotlight, appearing on talk shows, podcasts, and the like to highlight serious shortcomings in our country’s judicial system, even announcing a live tour to preach their views to audiences around North America.
Now that tour has a name, as well as official locations and dates. According to a press release, A Conversation On Justice will see Buting and Strang visit 27 cities, beginning with Boston on April 16 and concluding with Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on August 21. Each “show,” if you can call it that, “will involve the two attorneys in conversation about the Steven Avery case and its broader implications, as well as a discussion on the larger topic of the American criminal justice system.” It’ll also feature a Q&A portion, which people hopefully use to ask legitimate questions about how better to serve justice and not how single Buting and/or Strang happen to be at the moment.
