Making It crafts a Parks And Recreation reunion

Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Tuesday, July 31. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

Making It (NBC, 10 p.m.): Why would anyone watch anything besides shows with Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman? People are idiots, Leslie—but thankfully, someone at NBC was smart enough to greenlight a reality competition in which the erstwhile Leslie Knope and Ron Swanson oversee and goof around with a platoon of crafters. It’s a topic in which Offerman is an expert and Poehler is decidedly… not, which forms the basis for a lot of good-natured ribbing and DIY punning from the once and current co-stars (also: some genuine and disarming curiosity). It’s the closest thing we’ll ever get to an American Great British Bake Off (get out of here with that Great American Baking Show BS), and it gets Danette Chavez’s full endorsement. (Now if you’ll excuse her, she’s about to endorse 10 episodes of Making It into her eyes.)

Regular coverage

The 100 (The CW, 8 p.m.)
The Bold Type (Freeform, 8 p.m.)

Wild card

Casual (Hulu): After stealthily dropping the final season of UnREAL all at once, Hulu does a binge-watch swan song for one of the cornerstones of its pre-Handmaid’s Tale lineup. Say farewell to Valerie, Alex, and Laura—they’ll try not to make things awkward, but who are they kidding?
