Mandy Moore signs onto pilot for new CBS drama, doesn’t even think about ABC anymore

After being given the boot from the ABC pilot Pulling only to be replaced by Kristen Schaal, like, a day later, Mandy Moore has moved on with her life and joined the pilot for CBS’ The Advocates, the latest project from Mentalist creator Bruno Heller. Moore will star as an assistant district attorney who joins forces with ex-con Ben McKenzie (in a return to his roots) to become a lean, mean, victim-advocating machine. Things are going so well with them already, so if you happen to see Pulling, make sure to tell him how great she’s doing.

As for McKenzie’s current relationship with Southland, he says he’ll stay faithful so long as the show is renewed for a sixth season (which is so like him). [via TVLine]
