Margot Robbie to play Jane in that new Tarzan movie they're still making

Since Hollywood has had such success recently with rebooting vaguely familiar characters from yesteryear, not to mention Edgar Rice Burroughs adaptations, there's still a reboot of Tarzan in the works. Alongside Alexander Skarsgard and Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson is also on board, because it is a movie, and he is required by law to be in every movie. And into this simmering cauldron of virtually guaranteed success steps Margot Robbie, taking on the critical role of Jane, the big city girl who's bowled over by romantic dialogue like "Me Tarzan," and mating rituals her paramour learned from his ape guardians, like slapping the ground, or displaying his genitals.

Robbie got her start, as all Australian actresses must, on Neighbours, the long-running soap that also launched the careers of Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce, Chris and Liam Hemsworth, Natalie Imbruglia, and Kylie Minogue. She was also a regular on Pan Am, and recently made a splash as Leonardo DiCaprio's trophy wife in The Wolf Of Wall Street. In the same article, The Wrap notes she also may replace Amanda Seyfried in post-apocalyptic thriller Z For Zachariah, in which a woman who believes she's the last survivor of a nuclear holocaust discovers she's not alone after all. It's tough to say whether that's a worse prospect than romancing a man raised by apes.
