Legal troubles or no, Fox’s smash-hit Empire is steadily making its way back toward TV for a third season, kicking off on September 21. The network just released a new trailer for its melodramatic rap battle, complete with gold-plated guns and our first glimpses of Mariah Carey in a previously announced role.
As usual, we have no idea what’s actually going on in Empire, but damn if it doesn’t look and sound dramatic (and suitably well-scored). Also, we’re total suckers for Terrence Howard growling out quasi-Shakespearean dialogue, and “We’re going to show them how dark hell can get” is some top-notch growly Terrence, so color us suitably excited for the show’s upcoming return.
