Mariah Carey was her diva self on the set of The House, Rob Huebel says

The inspired lunacy of Mariah Carey’s diva behavior is nothing new, so color us tickled yet unsurprised by Rob Huebel’s account of what went down when she filmed a cameo during reshoots for the upcoming comedy The House, starring Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler. Huebel, speaking on SiriusXM’s Entertainment Weekly Radio, seemed baffled by Carey’s over-the-top demands like “all white roses” and stuffed lambs for her trailer—the Lambily is strong—but really, this all seems par for the course for the pop star. “Fucking what is going on with her? It was bananas,” Huebel said.

As EW reports, according to Huebel, Carey also showed up late and didn’t want to perform the song the filmmakers had planned for her to sing. She also believed that her character—a fictional version of herself—would have superpowers. “So then they were going to do this bit where they shoot her, I think, and they kill her—in the movie,” Huebel explained. “Not in real life. But she didn’t want that. She was like, ‘I don’t feel like my character would get killed by bullets. What if I deflected them like Wonder Woman?’ They were like, ‘Mariah, we don’t have time for [this]. You’re getting paid so much money. We have you for like one day. We don’t have time to argue with you. Just do it.’ She just didn’t want to do what they wanted her to do. Anyway, why am I talking trash about her?”

The House is about a pair of parents who open a casino to pay their kid’s college tuition. In the trailer they cut off a man’s finger, but fake Mariah Carey’s ultimate fate is still unknown.
