Sons Of Anarchy has cast the heavily eyelined shock-rocker Marilyn Manson in a recurring role for the show’s upcoming season. Manson will play Ron Tully, a white supremacist in prison whom Charlie Hunnam’s lead Jax will use to expand his influence.
Apparently, Manson approached showrunner Kurt Sutter because he and Manson’s father are both fans of the show. Sayeth Manson:
“So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of Sons Of Anarchy is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle.”
Manson has a lengthy career of near-cameos, playing characters that aren’t exactly him but aren’t exactly not him, either. And it’s certainly true that both Manson and the Sons share a passion for leather. So maybe this all makes sense?
