Mark Hamill goes from Jedi Knight to Knights Templar for History's Knightfall

According to Variety, Mark Hamill is taking his experience with hokey religions and ancient weapons to History for the second season of Knights Templar drama Knightfall. Hamill will be playing Talus, a “battle-hardened Knight Templar veteran of the crusades who survived captivity for 10 years in the Holy Land and is tasked with training the new initiates to the Order.” That makes it sound like he’ll be in his cranky The Last Jedi mode, which should be a good way to motivate some new recruits to go out and kill people in the name of Christianity. Other new cast members coming to the second season of Knightfall include Tom Forbes and Genevieve Gaunt, with Forbes playing King Philip’s son Prince Louis and Gaunt playing his daughter Isabella (a.k.a. “the she-wolf of France,” which is a pretty cool nickname).

Variety doesn’t say when the second season of Knightfall will premiere, but the first season started last December, so it will most likely be around then.
