Mark Sheppard finally settling down as Supernatural series regular

Having spent years sewing wild oats across genre fare, Mark Sheppard is finally putting down roots. According to Entertainment Weekly, the British actor has been added as a series regular for Supernatural’s tenth season. That means Sheppard’s character Crowley—a demon who reclaimed his position as King of Hell in the season finale—will play a pivotal role in the battle for Dean’s soul. The character has previously appeared in 34 episodes across five seasons. Sheppard has a long history of playing small but memorable roles in genre series, including Warehouse 13, Doctor Who, Chuck, Dollhouse, Battlestar Galactica, and Firefly. This will be the first series regular gig for the roving actor.
