Earlier this month, it was revealed that more than 540 million Facebook users saw their data exposed in a massive data breach. That followed news that the company was under federal criminal investigation for the deals it struck with electronics manufacturers over user data, as well as the Mueller report statistic that as many as 126 million Facebook users were targeted by Russian disinformation in the lead-up to the 2016 election. What’s next? Podcasts, of course!

This morning, Facebook’s Twitter account linked to a new podcast hosted by Facebook founder and empty shell Mark Zuckerberg. Blessed with the comically boring title Tech & Society, it’s said to feature guests who can speak with Zuckerberg about “tech’s place in the world—along with the opportunities, challenges, hopes, and anxieties that come with it.” Neat, though we’d be more inclined to listen if it went with this approach:

Two episodes are currently available on Spotify, one in which Zuckerberg speaks with Axel Springer CEO Mathias Döpfner about journalism and social media, and another with Harvard Law professor Jonathan Zittrain, an expert in technology policy and regulation.

Snark aside, if this is Zuckerberg’s way of offering more transparency, it’s definitely a start, but, c’mon, it’s only matter of time until this thing turns into him getting stoned with Joe Rogan, isn’t it?
