Martin “Big Rolls” Shrkeli seems to think you can just pick your own prison nickname

Earlier today, we reported that human attention sponge Martin Shkreli had been convicted of multiple counts of securities fraud, and might face up to 20 years in prison. But, maintaining a stiff upper sneer, Shkreli responded to the charges in typical fashion, by hopping on a YouTube livestream and trying to get people to buy into his personal bad guy branding yet again.

Shkreli has been streaming for the last six hours, bragging to his viewers that there’s only a “50-50” chance he’ll actually end up in prison, and that “There’s a decent chance there’s a complete vacation of the charges.” He also, according to Business Insider reporter Bob Bryan, theorized that he’ll be “the new fucking boss” of prison, that he’ll carry the nickname “Big Rolls,” and that he definitely isn’t going to get his ass repeatedly kicked for being a self-appointed supervillain who apparently delights in being America’s biggest asshole. He also accused the prosecutors who went after him of “trying to get famous,” which seems like a pretty classic case of the pot calling the kettle “someone who is almost certainly going to jail.”
