Martin Scorsese's George Harrison documentary to debut on HBO

Martin Scorsese’s nearly four-years-in-the-making George Harrison: Living In The Material World finally has a home and a release date: HBO has picked up the film and plans to debut it in two parts on the nights of October 5 and 6. As reported last year, it not only provides insight into Harrison’s musical and spiritual life, mostly through interviews with Harrison himself, but it boasts a treasure trove of never-before-heard recordings of music Harrison made while in The Beatles, presumably songs he just kept for himself because he didn’t really want to deal with John and Paul’s shit that day. Anyway, yes, this movie is apparently still titled that, even though it has (unfair, but still) automatic associations with Madonna. Was All Things Must Pass too obvious or something?
