Marvel now working on Iron Fist film

Deadline reports that Marvel has begun moving forward on Iron Fist, a film that would take a superhero from the pages of a comic book, where superheroes traditionally appear, and then translate his story into a live-action feature film using a man in a costume. As crazy as that sounds, Marvel seems pretty confident it will work, announcing that it has hired screenwriter Rich Wilkes—the former comedy scribe behind Airheads and The Jerky Boys who made the leap to action with xXx (and the leap to fantasy with his recent adaptation of Mötley Crüe’s The Dirt)—to figure out a way to make the story of an insanely wealthy playboy martial arts expert with super-strong fists forged in the molten heart of a dragon into a movie that young boys will want to see. Good luck!
