Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. need to fire some underperforming agents
DVR Club enters the turbulent Marvel Cinematic Universe today, discussing the ramifications of the Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. season two finale. Staff writer Alex McCown and A.V. Club contributor Oliver Sava are generally happy with the overstuffed “S.O.S., Parts 1 And 2,” although they look askance at the episode promising “everyone going to war” when it basically involves several Inhumans punching people. But there’s still plenty of excitement afoot in “S.O.S.”: Jiaying’s takeover of the S.H.I.E.L.D. aircraft carrier, Hunter and May’s rescue of Bobbi, and the delightful team-up of Cal and Coulson. It’s a lot of show, and if nothing else, Alex wants it to be known that Mack should get his walking papers by the end of the episode.
For a more detailed analysis from Oliver, though with less mooning over Blair Underwood than happens here, make sure to check out his review.
