Mary-Louise Parker is joining The Blacklist

NBC announced at Comic-Con that Mary-Louise Parker, former star of Showtime’s Weeds, will join the crime drama The Blacklist as a recurring character. Parker will play a figure tied to James Spader’s Raymond “Red” Reddington whom Deadline reports will be named “Naomi Highland.” Indeed, that is totally a name only spies would have.

The announcement comes with the news that Amir Arison, who played the recurring character of tech expert Aram in the show’s first season, has been promoted to the regular cast. Arison is just coming off an arc on HBO’s Girls, where he played Hannah’s co-worker at GQ.
