Mastodon’s Brent Hinds will play the late Ryan Dunn in a new movie, Stereogum reports. Hinds was tapped by Bam Margera, the Jackass star’s co-prankster and best friend, to appear in a movie he’s producing. I Needed Time To Stay Useless is described as “a documentary with dramatic interludes,” and Hinds got the role because he both looks like a lot like Dunn (face tattoos be damned) and can keep up with a very drunk Margera, as evidenced by the interview video below.
Dunn died in a 2011 car accident; he was under the influence of alcohol and going 140 mph when he crashed his Porsche 911 GT3, also killing Jackass Number Two production assistant Zachary Hartwell.
