Matt Damon in talks to star in Cameron Crowe's We Bought A Zoo

According to Deadline, Matt Damon is in talks with Cameron Crowe to star in the director's upcoming film We Bought A Zoo, the story of some people who buy a zoo. The script by Aline Brosh McKenna is based on the book by Benjamin Mee, a memoir detailing his family's acquisition of a small wildlife preserve in England that—get this—teaches them to be more human by communing with animals. The book has already been turned into a BBC documentary miniseries in which, tragically, no one was eaten. Fox plans on releasing the film in late 2011.
