Matt Damon will sneak his way into Ocean’s Eight

Ensuring that the ladies of Ocean’s Eight won’t head off a-heistin’ without an approving nod from their parent franchise, Entertainment Tonight Online reports that Matt Damon will be stopping by for a cameo in the upcoming film. Damon, who was busy promoting his indie darling Manchester By The Sea, took a moment this week to reveal that he’d be doing “a little bit” in the Sandra Bullock-led caper. The actor and producer said he hadn’t seen the script for the movie yet, but expressed his enthusiasm for the project, calling the cast—which also includes Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina, and Sarah Paulson—“phenomenal.”

Damon appeared in all three of Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s movies (themselves a remake of Frank Sinatra’s 1960 Rat Pack heist film). He’ll presumably be reprising his role as smart-mouthed pickpocket Linus Caldwell when Ocean’s Eight hits theaters on June 8, 2018.
