Matt Reeves signs on to direct another Planet Of The Apes sequel
The Matt Reeves-directed reboot sequel Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes doesn’t hit theaters until July 11, but Fox is already impressed enough that it knows it wants Reeves around for more man-versus-ape warfare. Deadline reports that the director has signed on to a third Apes film, this time sharing co-writing duties with Dawn screenwriter Mark Bomback. Presumably this means Dawn stops short of resolving the primate war, meaning perhaps there won’t be the same kind of eight-year time jump there is between Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes and this upcoming sequel. And of course, this means another Ape title will be necessary. Long Ape’s Journey Into Darkness Of The Planet Of The Apes?
